Sumqo Payments Terms
Effective date: October 21, 2026 · Version 2026-10-21
These Payments Terms apply when your business uses Sumqo to accept online payments for its invoices. They add to the Sumqo Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. "We", "us" and "Sumqo" mean Vifros Corp (d/b/a Sumqo); "you" and "your business" mean the business that connects a payment account. You accept these Payments Terms by ticking the box when you connect your first payment account.
1. Sumqo is software, not a payment processor
Sumqo is accounting software. We are not a bank, a payment processor or a money transmitter, and we never hold your customers' money. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe").
2. Your agreement with Stripe
When you connect a payment account, Stripe asks you to accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. That agreement is between you and Stripe. Stripe decides whether to open, keep or close your account, sets the rules for payouts and holds, and handles the payment itself. You keep your Stripe account in good standing and follow Stripe's rules.
3. Fees
- Stripe's fees. Stripe charges your business its own processing fees for each payment. Those fees are set by Stripe and paid by your business.
- The Sumqo fee. Sumqo adds a fee to each online payment. The fee depends on your plan and is shown in the app before you connect an account and in Settings → Payments. It is taken from the payment by Stripe on our behalf.
- Refunds. Unless the app says otherwise, the Sumqo fee is not returned when a payment is refunded.
- Changes. We may change the Sumqo fee schedule. We will tell you in the app or by email before a change applies to your payments.
4. You are the seller
Your business is the seller of record for everything your customers pay for through Sumqo. You alone are responsible for:
- refunds, disputes and chargebacks, and answering them in your Stripe Dashboard on time (if your payment account is a type that Sumqo manages for you and has no full Stripe Dashboard, Sumqo may answer disputes on your behalf using the information you give us, and you remain financially responsible for refunds, disputes, chargebacks and any negative balance; no new payments can be started on such an account once your workspace is closed, and a deletion cannot be scheduled while its balance is not zero or a dispute is open);
- customer service and the goods or services you sell;
- the taxes that apply to your sales; and
- the accuracy of your business and tax information, including what appears on tax forms such as Form 1099-K.
5. No fees charged to your customers
You may not add fees or surcharges to what your customers pay online, except through a Sumqo feature built for that purpose, and then only where the law and the card networks' rules allow it. You are responsible for any fee you charge your customers.
6. What you may not sell
You may not use Sumqo payments for any business or activity on Stripe's list of restricted and prohibited businesses, or for anything illegal, fraudulent or deceptive. Sumqo may turn off online payments for your workspace at any time if we believe your use breaks these Payments Terms, Stripe's rules or the law, or puts your customers, Stripe or Sumqo at risk.
7. Information we keep
Sumqo never sees or stores your customers' card or bank numbers; they are entered on Stripe's pages. We keep only payment details your bookkeeping needs, such as the amount, date, status, the invoice it paid, the customer's name and email, and the card brand and last four digits that Stripe shares with us.
8. Notices
You agree that we may send you notices about payments, fees and these Payments Terms electronically, in the app or by email to the addresses on your workspace, and that electronic notices count as written notices.
9. Changes to these Payments Terms
We may update these Payments Terms. When we do, we will publish a new version here, and you will be asked to accept it before you connect another payment account.
