Delete a workspace
Delete a workspace you no longer need. It is read-only for 30 days, any owner can cancel, and then it is closed with its data kept.
Before you start
- Only an owner can delete a workspace.
- Deleting closes the workspace: nobody can sign in to it or open its pages, and your team's access to it ends.
- Its records are not erased: they stay stored as described in our Privacy Policy. Sumqo support can restore the workspace or, if you ask, erase it permanently (within 30 days of a verified request).
- Everyone keeps their Sumqo sign-in for any other workspace they belong to.
Warning: Download a full backup first (Settings → Import / Export → "Back up everything") and keep the file somewhere safe. After the grace period nobody can open the workspace any more.
Delete the workspace
- Go to Settings → Workspace and scroll to "Delete this workspace".
- If Sumqo lists things to sort out first under "Before you can delete it", follow the links and fix them.
- Click "Delete this workspace", type the workspace name to confirm, and optionally tell us why you are leaving.
- Click "Schedule deletion" and confirm it is you.
The 30-day grace period
The workspace is not closed right away. For 30 days it is read-only for everyone: you can still view and export everything, but nothing can be changed. A banner on every page shows the date it closes.
Tip: Changed your mind? Any owner can click "Cancel deletion" on the banner or in Settings → Workspace during the grace period.
After the workspace is closed
- Nobody can sign in to it. Links you sent to customers, like invoice pages and portals, stop working and say the business is no longer on Sumqo.
- Your remaining Sumqo subscription is cancelled.
- Its data is kept. Write to info@vifros.com to get the workspace back, or to have it erased permanently: we complete a verified erasure request within 30 days, and an erased workspace can't be brought back.
- Save the subscription receipt PDFs you need first: you can't open the workspace to download them.
Note: A demo workspace is different: it holds only sample data, so it is erased automatically one day after you delete it (or it expires). Your own workspace is not touched.
