Invite your team and set permissions
Invite team members and your accountant, decide what each person can see and do with permission groups, and remove access when needed.
Invite a team member
- Go to Settings → Users and click "Invite Member".
- Enter their email. They add their own name and set a password when they accept.
- Choose one or more Permission Groups. Need one extra permission? Open "Additional permissions".
- Turn on "Require two-factor authentication" if they must add a second step to their sign-in.
- Click "Save". We email them an invitation link.
Until they accept, the invitation waits under "Pending Invitations".
Invite your accountant
Click "Invite your accountant", enter their email and click "Send invitation". Your outside accountant gets a free seat that does not count toward your plan.
Decide what people can do
- Go to Settings → Permission groups and click "New Group".
- Give it a name and a short description, for example "Bookkeeper".
- Tick the permissions it should have, then click "Save".
- Back on Settings → Users, add people to the group when you invite them, or with "Edit" in the menu next to their name.
Warning: Permissions tagged Sensitive let someone move money, see full tax IDs, send your books outside the workspace or take a full copy of it. Give them only to people you trust.
Note: Owners always have full access; permission groups do not apply to them. System groups are managed by Sumqo and cannot be edited.
Change or remove access
On Settings → Users, open the menu next to a person to Edit, Make owner, Change to member, Deactivate, Force password reset or Remove access.
Tip: Removing access signs the person out within about 30 seconds.
