Build dashboards with widgets
Make your own dashboard of charts and figures: start blank or from a template, add widgets, arrange them, and share it with your team.
Create a dashboard
- Open Spending and click the "Dashboards" tab.
- Click "New dashboard".
- Under "Start from", start blank or pick a template, give it a name, and choose the period and accounts.
- Click "Create dashboard".
Note: Only you see a new dashboard until you share it with the workspace.
Add widgets
- On the dashboard, click "Add widget".
- Describe what you want to see, for example "Groceries and dining by month this year", and click "Draft the widget". Or choose one under "Or pick a widget".
- Check the form and the live preview, change anything you like, and click "Add widget".
Tip: Describing a widget uses AI and can make mistakes, so always check the preview before adding it.
Arrange the layout
- Click "Edit layout".
- Drag a widget by its title and resize it from its bottom corner. The others move to make room.
- Click "Save" when you are done, or "Cancel" to keep the old layout.
Each widget has its own menu to edit it, refresh it, move it, change its size or remove it. On a phone the dashboard shows as one column; edit the layout on a larger screen.
Share and export
- Turn on "Share with workspace" so everyone who can see Spending can open the dashboard.
- Click "Export" for a PDF or Excel copy.
- Change the period or accounts at the top to look at another month without changing the saved dashboard.
- Rename it or delete it from the "More dashboard options" menu (…).
