Run, save and export reports

Open Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, aging and tax reports, pick a period, export to PDF, Excel or CSV, and have saved reports emailed.

Open a report

  1. Go to Reports in the sidebar and click a report.
  2. Pick the period (or the "as of" date for reports like the Balance Sheet).
  3. Choose Accrual (invoices and bills count on their date) or Cash (they count when the money moved), and a comparison if you want one.

Use the switcher at the top to jump between reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, A/R Aging, A/P Aging, Income by Customer, Expenses by Category, Sales Tax, 1099-NEC and more.

Choose which reports you see

Click "Report library" on the Reports page to turn reports on or off. Reports you turn off stay out of the way and can come back any time.

Export, save and schedule

  • Export: click the download icon and choose CSV, Excel or PDF.
  • Save: click "Save" to keep the report with its period and filters under "My reports".
  • Schedule: when saving, have it emailed weekly, monthly or quarterly to the people you choose.
  • Accountant: click "To accountant" to send a package of reports to your accountant, then click "Send package".

Common questions

  • Why is the Balance Sheet empty? Some statements need the general ledger. Click "Turn on the general ledger" on the report and wait for the setup to finish.
  • Why do my numbers look low? Check that your statements are uploaded and the new lines are reviewed, and that you picked the right basis.
  • Where is the cash forecast? Open "Cash flow forecast" from Reports for an estimate of the coming weeks.
Note: Reports show what is in your books. They are a starting point for your taxes, not a filed return.
